I set out to make a dub-techno track, but things turned out the way they usually do…

I had to call in dub-techno producer Leito Red Fox to help; his remix brought the release closer to my original vision.

Technically speaking, “In the Rain” could be classified as dub-techno, though I got a bit carried away with the harmonies and synth solos.

Personally, I picture an autumn walk in September — or a drive through the rain, with droplets streaking down the car window.

As for Leito Red Fox’s dub-techno remix, it evokes a heavy September downpour that looks almost like fog.

I decided not to limit the listener’s imagination to just September, so I simply titled the track “In the Rain” and chose cover art featuring raindrops on a car’s side window, with a blurred view of a provincial town road visible through them.
