The Amy Incident is rearing up to drop an EP called Pastel Summer and we got our hands on it before it’s full release on August 20th. So let’s just jump straight in. The record kicks off with “Veronica” and its ever driving drums and guitars harmonies flow over it’s bopping rhythm as it gets to it’s ultra pop chorus. “Molly” follows and keeps up​ the catchy radio pop attitude. Lyrically it’s got a little bit of a classic Weezer​ feel to it. A lot of 1950’s style back-up vocal sections melt into the song perfectly. Next is “Felix” and this one gets your attention with a guitar hook and its kind of in-room live performance feel. Finally we have “Waggies” which plays out like a high school love song. Pastel Summer holds steady to radio pop rock.
